TRAYAMBAKAM – BRILLIANT IN MAKING - Rating:4/5 ****
Posted date: 18 Thu, Apr 2019 – 05:21:55 PM

Title – Trayambakam, Producer – Sandeep, Direction – Dayal Padmanabhan, Music – Ganesh Narayan, Cinematographer – Rakesh, Cast – Raghavendra Rajakumar, Anupama Gowda, Rohith, Sunder Veena, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Shruthi Nayak and others.

Dayal Padmanabhan is growing in his thoughts in this mass media but the cute editor in his display of thoughts was required especially in this film ‘Trayambakam’. The sharpness of Dayal seen in ‘Aa Karala Rathri’ is missing in this film. Yet this is with lot of values and additions in the business of entertainment.

Dayal Padmanabhan shrewdness is very good but his over confidence after the project is ready could have been checked – Trayambakam is ‘Swalpa Tapatrayam’ in the first half. So long and so little first half needed some operation!

The reference of ‘Navapashana’ , the significance of it and how it is interspersed in the film is glorious part of the second half. There has been controlled performance from Raghavendra Rajakumar and lively appearance of Anupama Gowda as ‘Gamana and Namana’ plus good scorings from Ganesh Narayan builds up the second half.

There is a doting father Shivarudraiah (Raghavendra Rajakumar). He is in imagination that something happens to his daughter Namana. Namana a journalist has immense care and affection for her father. When Shivarudraiah prefers to meet a doctor the audiences are also in the shock just after the interval. The brain stroke that has lead to selective amnesia for Shivarudraiah is the reason for confusing state of mind.

When the past that is doing rounds in the minds of Shivarudraiah is revealed we find Gamana (Anupama Gowda) twin sister of Namana. Gamana is working in the archaeological department. The finding of Gamana ‘Navapaashana’ is the cause for various developments.

The fact of the matter what transpired in the mind of Shivarudraiah is the truth and this is what makes him sick. He is over possessive with living daughter Namana as the past tragedy is a big blow to him.

How Gamana faced the ordeals, the findings, the activities of Namana with her father, a detective to the support of Shivarudraiah family you have to watch it on silver screen.

As said earlier it is a cool and composed performance from Raghavendra Rajakumar. The ‘Pataki’ of the film is Anupama Gowda. The freestyle acting has come as gift for her. RJ Rohit is apt in the role of Omkar. Sunder Veena and Shruthi Naik rendered able support.

On the music part the film ‘Trayambakam’ is terrific. The song of yesteryears Yashwanth film ‘Moda Modala…in acapelle style, the emotional song – Angailalli Ninna Angalannu..Nee nanna tolali Maguvadare chande…is extremely good.

Rakesh in his cinematography is simply superb. This 130 minutes ‘Trayambakam’ needed fast phase in the second half.

On the whole it is worth watching.
